Hello friends, As most of you know by now I am a great fan of the synthetic phonics system of Jolly Phonics. When my elder son was 3 years old, he was introduced to Jolly Phonics. It was a completely new thing for me as I belong to the generation that learned to read by memorizing that A is for apple and B is for B. We were never taught the sounds of the alphabet.
