English  is the most common language in the world with 1.5 billion speakers   worldwide. In many countries, English is the official language. Moreover, most of the videos for children on the popular video-sharing platform, Youtube, are in English. Hence, children start understanding and speaking English from a very young age.  However, there is a side-effect of this overpowering influence of the English language for children whose mother tongue is not English.
