Verbs and Tenses for Grade 1

Image
Hello friends, Learn and practice verbs and tenses in this beautiful e-book called "My First Book of Verbs and Tenses".  Before downloading the high-quality PDF for the verbs and tenses worksheets for the kids' booklet, spend a few minutes with me to go over verbs and their role in the English language. When children start learning the English language, they are taught the correct usage of verbs in the very beginning. Verbs are action words . They tell us what action is taking place. For example, I swim. Here the action word or verb is  swim . What is so complicated about verbs? There is nothing complicated as such but some rules have to be followed when using verbs; the form of verbs changes depending on when the action is taking place. Look at the following two sentences:  1. I swim.    2. I swam yesterday.  These two sentences don't mean the same thing as they use different tenses. The first sentence means that I do the action (swimming) often. This sentence is in

Mental Math Part 3 - Adding Two-Digit Numbers

This is part 3 of my Mental Math worksheets: If you are a regular visitor of my website, you might know that I have developed a Mental Math mobile app . It is available on both Google Play Store and iOS App Store and it is 100% Free. I also publish video tutorials on the concepts and tricks taught in this app. Now, this app provides unlimited practice and you can practice even with a timer so you can easily become faster at mental math but I do know that some people like practicing on paper so this is why I started making these Mental Math worksheets. These worksheets correspond to Class #5 of my Mental Math series on my YouTube Channel. However, I have tried to make these worksheets independent of the tutorials by giving quite a lot of detail about the mental math tricks in them. I hope you like this effort. Have a look at my mental math app too where it all started 😀.  The worksheets have a lot of questions for practice. I have explained two tricks to solve two-digit number additi

Geography Flash Cards in Urdu

Image
Let's learn about the landscape of planet Earth today but not in English but in Urdu. I had created these cute two-way Landforms flashcards for children in English.  I recently decided that I should take some time out to convert some of my educational resources to Urdu. No need to worry my dear non-Urdu-speaking followers as I will keep on publishing amazing stuff in English too but this is a side-by-side initiative to save my country's language. I hope you can understand. Thank you! Now, these cards can be used by Preschool to Grade 4 aged children. The definitions of the landforms in Urdu might be a little too difficult for younger children but I think they are easy enough for grade 2 and above children. Every card has a picture and name on one side and a description on the other side. How to Use: Cut out an A4 size cardboard paper or you can even recycle an empty cereal box. Cut in the middle lengthwise. Print out the Geography flashcards on an A4 size paper. Put a piece of

Materials For Kids

Before children start studying the subject of Chemistry revolving around elements with their atoms and compound with their molecules, they have to learn that everything is made of a material. A chair is made of wood, a house is made of bricks and a milk bottle is made of glass. They also have to be taught that all materials have one or more properties or super powers. Spiderman can shoot webs, Superman can fly, and a material called plastic is waterproof. It has the superpower that it isn't harmed by water 😁 It was raining    🌧️   one day and while using an umbrella  ☂️ , my child was inquisitive that why is the umbrella waterproof as it seemed to be made of cloth. So, I started explaining to him about nylon and made-made materials, and then, we had an entertaining discussion on materials and their properties; this gave me the idea of making material worksheets. Now, this is not just a Science topic. This is also a very nice way of building vocabulary . I hope you like this effo
