Urdu Flash Cards (Haroof e Tahaji)

Image
Hello everyone, Many followers of my Facebook page asked me to make these Urdu letter flash cards. As this is the birthday week of my home country Pakistan, I thought that it would be nice to promote my mother language this week. So, I started working on these flashcards. My Urdu phonics app is also complete where children can learn urdu huroof sounds and practice their recognition and merging. Download Urdu phonics app today from Google Play store . Why I started working on these Urdu Flashcards: I know that many resources are available for English but there are few resources for languages like Urdu that aren't spoken in that many countries. English is a global language. All the cartoons and videos are mostly in English so slowly and steadily children are losing interest in languages like Urdu. There is a need for a thorough revival of languages like Urdu.  Urdu Haroof e Tahaji Flashcards: This is my small contribution: to develop children's interest in the Urdu language. I h...

Geography Flash Cards in Urdu

Image
Let's learn about the landscape of planet Earth today but not in English but in Urdu. I had created these cute two-way Landforms flashcards for children in English.  I recently decided that I should take some time out to convert some of my educational resources to Urdu. No need to worry my dear non-Urdu-speaking followers as I will keep on publishing amazing stuff in English too but this is a side-by-side initiative to save my country's language. I hope you can understand. Thank you! Now, these cards can be used by Preschool to Grade 4 aged children. The definitions of the landforms in Urdu might be a little too difficult for younger children but I think they are easy enough for grade 2 and above children. Every card has a picture and name on one side and a description on the other side. How to Use: Cut out an A4 size cardboard paper or you can even recycle an empty cereal box. Cut in the middle lengthwise. Print out the Geography flashcards on an A4 size paper. Put a piece of...

Learn Fruits in Urdu

Urdu is an important language as it is spoken by almost 100 million people. It is the national language of Pakistan. However, with the advent of Youtube, children spend most of their time watching videos on it. Most of the content on Youtube and even TV channels is in English; hence, children are learning English faster than their mother tongues like Urdu. We have to make the learning of these languages more entertaining to fascinate the young minds of today. I have designed these cute, colorful fruit flash cards that are 2 in 1. They have the fruit names written in both English and Urdu to help the children in associating the two languages.  Have fun while using these vibrant cards to fascinate and teach your children. Cut  ✂️ chart paper or recycled cardboard in A4 size. Print  🖨️ the fruit names flashcards on A4 size papers. Paste the printed copy on the cut chart paper and then, cut each individual flashcard around the dotted line. You will have store-bought quality...

Learn the Colors (Urdu, Hindi, Arabic)

English  is the most common language in the world with 1.5 billion speakers   worldwide. In many countries, English is the official language. All parents want their children to excel in speaking English for their future professional success. Moreover, most of the videos for children on the popular video-sharing platform, Youtube, are in English. Hence, children start understanding and speaking English from a very young age.  However, there is a side-effect of this overpowering influence of the English language for children whose mother tongue is not English. They have started regressing in learning their mother tongue. Schools have the propensity to focus on English. Parents also strive to teach English to their children. In addition, there is not much entertainment material available in other languages on Youtube or television.  So, how should we go about teaching the native language to a child? I believe that one parent should only speak that language to the child...
