Geography Flash Cards in Urdu

Image
Let's learn about the landscape of planet Earth today but not in English but in Urdu. I had created these cute two-way Landforms flashcards for children in English.  I recently decided that I should take some time out to convert some of my educational resources to Urdu. No need to worry my dear non-Urdu-speaking followers as I will keep on publishing amazing stuff in English too but this is a side-by-side initiative to save my country's language. I hope you can understand. Thank you! Now, these cards can be used by Preschool to Grade 4 aged children. The definitions of the landforms in Urdu might be a little too difficult for younger children but I think they are easy enough for grade 2 and above children. Every card has a picture and name on one side and a description on the other side. How to Use: Cut out an A4 size cardboard paper or you can even recycle an empty cereal box. Cut in the middle lengthwise. Print out the Geography flashcards on an A4 size paper. Put a piece of...

Natural Disasters for Kids

Image
It is so difficult to find good reading material for children nowadays. If it is too simple, it may bore the children. If it is on a complicated topic, then the children may find it a difficult read. If you have been following my website and my Facebook page, you would know that reading comprehension is a subject close to my heart. I like flashcards too but the space is limited in a flashcard and it is a struggle to explain all the important points of a subject in just a teeny weeny flashcard 😀. This doesn't mean that I don't believe in the power of flashcards. They are an excellent way of building vocabulary as a picture is better than a thousand words! Having said that, flashcards limit the quantity of information.  So, I started looking for another interesting topic for reading for the students and children of my dear followers. I didn't have to look far when I saw my 7 yrs old son drawing a meteor  ☄️️ . Unfortunately, he didn't color it. He is more into drawing w...

Layers of the Earth

Image
Download PDF Crafting Idea: Make a playdough model of the Earth with all layers. Roll a sma ll playdough ball for the inner core. Cover this with multiple layers for the outer core, mantle, and crust. Make the last layer blue and put green patches for land. You can even put some white on top and bottom for the North and South Pole. Take pictures of the Earth model. Now, cut your beautiful Earth model with floss/thread. Do not use a knife otherwise the cut will not be clean . Take pictures again with your happy, excited children! While making the model with your children, keep on repeating the names of the layers and do tell them the amazing facts about Earth's layers. Make learning fun!
