Read and write about monsters: Special Edition for Halloween

Image
Halloween is not a new holiday. People have been celebrating Halloween for 2000 years now. Nowadays, children dress up as their favorite monsters but in medieval times, older people also used to dress up, and instead of candies, they used to ask for money! In modern times, as October begins, people decorate their front yards with Halloween decorations. Fake tombstones, lit-up pumpkins, and other scary decorations become a common sight. Speaking of decorations, I found this very cute Halloween decoration idea that you can work on with your children: Suncatchers. There is something magical about sun catchers and the ones that I found are Halloween-themed so perfect for this time of the year:  (ad) Halloween celebrations are not just restricted to Europe and North America. It is now becoming quite common to have costume parties on Halloween in other countries too. Since children love to dress up for Halloween, I felt that reading and writing about their favorite monsters may just be the

Preschool Worksheets for Position, Sequence and Symbols

Image
Hello friends, Let's talk about learning for preschoolers: Structured learning is not important for children less than 3 years of age. It is the time to just play with colorful blocks or other toys that stimulate the imagination . This playing time will teach the children many things: colors, size, balance, shapes, and much, much more. Some cute coloring pages with crayons will lay the foundation for their future pencil grip 😊. However, you should contribute to this learning process by playing with them and asking questions. Children are naturally curious and most of the time, they will be the ones asking questions but you should also query them about colors and shapes. Once the children can hold a crayon, give them some beginning-level worksheets such as matching worksheets that I published some time ago for developing their analytical and logical thinking. You can have a look at them here . Now, the most important thing is that don't force your children to do any worksh

Preschool Matching Games for building Logical Thinking

Image
Hello friends, Besides tracing and developing a correct grip for writing, another important skill that preschoolers need to develop is analytical thinking. They need to be able to recognize different shapes and associate them with similar shapes. They should be able to match similarly colored things. This is the basis of analytical thinking and is an essential precursor to solving logic puzzles and even coding/ programming. I have compiled these 10 worksheets that will surely fascinate your children and keep them busy while also building their analytical thinking. This is part 1 of my logic games series. It has beginning-level matching games and can be done easily by 2.5 yrs to 3-year-old children. As computer programming and analytical thinking are very close to my heart, I plan to make more interesting worksheets that will slowly and steadily advance and will teach important skills such as patterns, counting, the concept of positions, etc. that will open up and sharpen the children
