Phonics Videos

Synthetic phonics is a system of learning how to read based on the sounds of letters rather than their names. Instead of saying 'A' for apple, children are taught the sound of the letter 'A'. The lowercase of each letter is associated with its sound. So, children learn to read by enunciating the sounds of letters. They blend these sounds to read short words consisting of 2-3 letters and eventually, start reading longer words. It is very intuitive and a sure way of making children early readers.
It does require patience in the beginning when the children are learning the sounds of the letters. The following videos will help your children in learning these sounds as each sound has been associated with a cute animated character.
The order of the learning of sounds follows one of the most popular systems of synthetic phonics called Jolly Phonics. It divides the learning process into 42 sounds that include individual alphabets, (1 sound – 1 letter) and digraphs (1 sound – 2 letters) such as ch, sh, th, ee, ea, and more. This system is ideal for 3+ yrs old children. So, if you want your children to learn how to read early then start teaching them phonics. Check out my phonics videos below and Happy Learning :)
