Animal World for Kids

Earth is home to many kinds of animals. Children are always fascinated by animals. They want to keep rabbits, birds, or turtles as pets. They are always excited to see movies about dogs, wolves, and even lions. When a child is introduced to the subject of Science, an introduction to the Animal World is a must. 

I have designed this easy-to-understand booklet with information about animals along with corresponding worksheets. I haven't introduced all the animal groups because I didn't want to make it too complicated. Science should be introduced in bite-size portions as a child's mind can be overwhelmed with too much information. 

If you like doing worksheets with your children, then as a parent I would personally recommend purchasing Canon's megatank printer. I am in love with how economical and efficient these new ink tank printers are; the printer has made my life so much easier as I don't have to rush to the market to get printouts.

So, I hope that you like this booklet on Animal World. I believe that your children will enjoy learning about animals in a fun way. Just print out the PDF file on A4-size paper. The booklet can be used by both kindergarten and Grade 1-2 aged children. Kindergarten-aged children can do it orally 😊

Free Jolly Phonics Group 1 worksheets (s, a, t, i, p, n) According to Oxford Dictionary, phonics is a "method of teaching people to read by correlating sounds with symbols in an alphabetic writing system". As you might already know, I am a strong proponent of the Jolly Phonics system of synthetic phonics sounds. Jolly Phonics Flash Cards

Gone are the days of A for apple, B for Ball...this is the time of synthetic phonics where each alphabet has a sound. Now, you don't teach children the name of the letter but the sound made by the letter. A has the sound that comes when we say the word apple, b has the sound that comes when we say bed, and so on and so forth. There are different systems of synthetic phonics but I have felt that Jolly Phonics is the best system. In fact, I made my first mobile app for my son based on the Jolly Phonics style of teaching.
