Ramadan activities for Kids

Assalam o Alaikum friends,

I am sorry that I haven't published anything new in a while. I was busy as the month of Ramadan was approaching and I had to prepare in advance for it by doing grocery shopping and other household chores. It is better to do such work before the fasts start as it can be tiring to do them with a fast, especially in the hot place where I live!

Ramadan for Kids:

Ramadan is the 9th month in the Islamic calendar. Ramadan is the month when all the Muslims in the world fast from dawn to sunset. We don't drink or eat anything and every evening is festive with dates, juices, and delicious food. It is a month that strengthens our faith in Allah and also makes us thank Allah for all His blessings. Children are too young to fast but it is important to not only teach them about Islam but also engage them in healthy but fun activities.

Hence, I have designed these colourful activities for children revolving around the theme of Ramadan including a reading comprehension worksheet on Ramadan. The beautiful PDF contains nine vibrant pages with infographics and activities.

Islamic Calendar for Kids:

Did you know that the Islamic calendar follows the lunar months? This means that an Islamic month starts when a new month is sighted.

There are twelve Islamic months:

  • Muharram
  • Safar
  • Rabi Al-Awwal
  • Rabi Al-Thani
  • Jamada Al-Awwal
  • Jamada Al-Thani
  • Rajab
  • Sha'ban

Children can learn the names of the Islamic months by using the colorful chart provided in the PDF. Then, they can do a matching activity to test their learning.

Salah time for Kids:

Another worksheet explains the time of salah by using cute graphics. Then, children can test their learning by filling up a puzzle. A couple of colouring pages are also a part of the PDF.

I hope your children have fun doing these Ramadan activities. Please share them with your friends and family and tell them about my website. You can also request customized educational resources by leaving a comment below.
