Learn the Colors

When children are born, the world is very hazy to them. They can't see the world clearly in the beginning.  By the time they are six months old, they are able to see much more clearly, move their eyes faster, and can now follow objects with their eyes. This is the time when they start differentiating between different colors. It is believed that red is the first color seen by them 😊. This is the age when children are attracted by bright colors and are especially fascinated by contrasts. This is the main reason that you may have observed that newer toys for babies have black and white in them as these two colors are opposite of each other.😊

When the children start speaking their first words, colors are one of the first things that they start learning. Parents start telling their children the names of primary colors like red, blue, and yellow. Building blocks, one of the most common toys for toddlers, are a great way of teaching children about basic colors. Another way of teaching children about colors is by using flashcards. I have made these classic and simple flashcards for teaching color names to children. They can be used to not only learn color names but also to learn the spellings of these words. I have also made worksheets for testing the learning of children. As a bonus, I have made some advanced colors flashcards for children who are older  😊.

Cut ✂️chart paper or recycled cardboard in A4 size. Print ðŸ–¨️the colors flashcards on A4 size papers. Paste the printed copy on the cut chart paper and then, cut each individual flashcard around the dotted line. You will have store-bought quality flashcards 😊! You can also make them waterproof by covering them with transparent tape on both sides.
