Jolly Phonics Group 7 Worksheets

Hello friends,

Learning to read is a fundamental skill that sets the stage for a lifetime of exploration and knowledge acquisition. Phonics is a method of teaching children how to read by connecting sounds with letters and letter combinations; it is a proven and effective approach.

Why Phonics Are Good for Learning to Read
Building a Strong Foundation: Phonics forms the bedrock of early literacy. It helps children grasp the relationship between sounds and letters, setting the stage for fluent reading.
Confidence Booster: Understanding how words are constructed from sounds and letters empowers kids to read independently. As they recognize patterns, their confidence soars.
Improved Spelling: Phonics also aids spelling skills. When kids understand the phonetic makeup of words, they can spell more accurately and with greater ease.
Enhanced Vocabulary: By breaking words down into their phonetic components, children gain a better understanding of word meanings and can expand their vocabulary more rapidly.
Better Comprehension: Phonics instruction improves reading comprehension. When children can decode words with ease, they can focus on understanding the text, leading to better comprehension.

There are different phonics systems that can be considered while teaching phonics but I personally feel that Jolly Phonics is the best one. This is why, I made my Phonics app using the Jolly Phonics order of teaching sounds. The complete Jolly Phonics app is 100% free and can be easily downloaded from Google Play Store.

The Jolly Phonics app teaches all the letter sounds and different phonics rules and follows the pattern of Jolly Phonics but it is available for free. If you want proper step-by-step instructions for helping your children read then have a look at this detailed article that I wrote for this sole purpose.

Besides the phonics app, I have also published phonics flashcards that can be easily printed, cut, and used. Have a look at them here.

I have designed these worksheets for Jolly Phonics Group 7 that cover the sounds qu, ou, oi, ue, er, ar

There are matching, coloring, writing, and coloring activities.
A blend and read printable is also included in each of the Jolly Phonics worksheets set.

I hope you like this effort.  Do share it with friends and family if you like my work 😊
